Carl Icahn

Carl C. Icahn was born in Queens, New York, in 1936. He dropped out of medical school to work on Wall Street. In 1968, he established Icahn & Co, his own brokerage firm. A corporate “raider” in the 1980s, he made his fortune by buying stocks and “greenmailing” large corporations. He bought Transworld Airlines in 1985, but sold it back in 1992, despite investing $100 million of his own money.Financier, entrepreneur, and airline executive, born in Queens, New York, USA.
